Dawn is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She completed master's level training at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis In Brentwood.
She has experience working with children and adolescents in residential, school and outpatient settings. Her work with eating disorders includes coordination of care with dieticians, general medical doctors, psychiatrists as well as other helpful professionals (e.g. art, movement, and group therapists).
Dawn focuses in therapy on working through the feelings and underlying factors contributing to the client's emotional struggles, in efforts to resolve the issue -- in contrast to just eliminating the present symptoms.
Her education at Fuller Seminary included integrating psychological and spiritual themes for working through emotional struggles. Yet Dawn leaves the choice for inclusion of spiritual issues in therapy to the client.
Dawn also has bachelor's degree in business management and MBA degrees, as well as 20 years' experience in business management and marketing with high technology companies. This education and experience provides a unique perspective for her therapy clients who are struggling with work and career- related issues.
